Abstract

The invention relates to fixed frames practicable for windows, doors or other partitions, in particular fixed frames with thermal break. The invention further relates to a method of placement and mounting of fixed frames on walls. The frame has a profile (10) having a body (12) with , at least, one guide (21, 22, 23), a side wall (14) opposite the guide (21) and a bottom (16) between the body ( 12) and the side wall (14); the body (12), the side wall (14) and the bottom (16) form the channel (18). The side wall (14) is discontinuous and extends from two opposite sides of a window (15). In the channel (18) there is a gasket (24) of insulating material, which gasket exits the channel (18) through the window (15).
