Abstract

The invention relates to boilers and may be used in municipal and industrial power systems, where a slag-free burning of finely dispersed solid fuel (coal or biopellets, or mixture thereof) is required. Particularly, a horizontal fire tube boiler for burning finely dispersed solid fuel is provided characterized in that the fuel-supply pipe (12) is arranged at the center of the furnace, thus forming an obtuse angle with the longitudinal axis of the boiler towards the smoke tubes (3), wherein the fuel-supply pipe is connected to the fuel supply system, for instance as a flexible screw in the tube (13, 14), and a fan (17) for tertiary air supply to the boiler is provided on the upper cover of the fuel-supply pipe. The structure of the boiler allows for increasing efficiency thereof by returning fine fuel particles removed from the fluidized bed back into the combustion zone and by an enhanced whirling of a gas created by tertiary air supply, thus providing a complete burnup of volatile substances and reducing fuel loss which would occur due to incomplete burning.
