A bridge structure for overhead cranes, provided with at least two end modules (15) and in case at least one intermediate module (17) firmly associated to one another by means of joining and fixing elements, wherein each of said modules (15, 17) comprises a central body (15a, 17a) having a substantially "Ω" shaped section wherein respective, substantially flat bases (15b, 17b) and two box-type lateral sides (15c, 15d, 17c, 17d); the invention also refers to a method of achieving this structure.
