Abstract

Υδρομεταλλουργική μέθοδος παρασκευής φυλλόμορφου υδροξειδίου του μαγνησίου με στενή κοκκομετρική κατανομή (d50=0,5-1,5μm, d90= 3-10μm) και υψηλή κρυσταλλικότητα (ειδική επιφάνεια μικτρότερο 15m2g) ειδικά κατάλληλο για χρήση ως επιβραδυντικό καύσης σε πολυμερή. Η αναπτυχθείσα μέθοδος αφορά την ενυδάτωση διπύρου μαγνησίας ειδικών φυσικών χαρακτηριστικών (ειδικό βάρος μεγαλύτερο 3,37gcm3) και κοκκομετρίας (2-75μm με d50=15-20μm) σε πολλαπλά στάδια υπό ατμοσφαιρική πίεση και παρουσία συστήματος αλάτων μαγνησίου (MgX, όπου Χ: C1-, CH3COO- κ.α.). Η παραπάνω διαδικασία οδηγεί στην απομάκρυνση ορισμένων συνδρόμων της πρώτης ύλης και σε συνδυασμό με τη χρήση επιπλέον εμπλουτιστικών διαδικασιών (π.χ. απομάκρυνση ορισμένου κλάσματος και έκπλυση με νερό) επιτρέπει τη χρήση φυσικής προέλευσηςμαγνησίας με σχετικά υψηλή περιεκτικότητα συνδρόμων σε αντίθεση με άλλες μεθόδους.
