Abstract

The invention relates to the construction of a new solar collector that consists of long heating elements (2) placed so as to create a pergola (1).The pergola solar collector (1) when placed on an elevated scaffolding (3), allows the utilization of the surface underneath, for placing plants, etc. The characteristic of the long heating elements (2) that are used for the construction of the pergola solar collector (1), is that they can consist of one or more section bars (profiles) (4). These elements have the capability to rotate around their longitudinal axis, so as to enhance their performance. Due to the, aesthetically acceptable, large surface of solar energy collection, the pergolasolar collector can be used, complimentarily, for heating or air-conditioning of the buildings and not just only for water heating. Also due to its geometrical configuration, the pergola solar collector offers the possibility of utilizing all the appropriate surfaces (terraces, facades, balconies, parking spaces, etc) and upgrades the aesthetics of the buildings where it is installed.
