Abstract

Mechanism by which movable double door-window sashes are set in a closed position or an open position with controlled opening width. The mechanism (figure 3) consists of a latching member (1), which is mounted on the one sash and a receiving member (2) mounted on the other sash. The latching member (1) is also connected to a longitudinal bar (5) with upper-lower bolts (5a, 5b) for locking the sashes and comprises a handle member (1a) rotating by an arc of the order of 180 deg. between a lockingposition or open position of the sashes, the two sashes being connected with a controlled opening, wherein the user, by selecting a specific desired opening in the open position by applying a respective notch (9a, 9b) of the handle member (1a) on a face (12) of the receiving member, secures the sashes at this position by a bi-directionally moving bolt (2b) of the receiving member (2).
