Abstract
The invention refers to a method for obtaining granulated porous ammonium nitrate designed for the preparation of naphta-nitrate explosive substances. For this purpose granulated porous ammonium nitrate for fertilizers (with or without a surface active substance (anti-caking agent) is treated with organic reagents (chloro-derivatives with two carbon atoms in which ammonium nitrate is insoluble). The mixture is stirred and heated, and afterwards filtered. The filtrate is fed back into the production cycle (and mixed with new quantities of ammonium nitrate for fertilizers), and the granules are dried and cooled. The oil-absorption capacity of the obtained porous ammonium nitrate reaches 9-10 and over 10 percent.
