Abstract

Raw lignite dried by turbulence or into a tubular drier at low temperature. After intermediate storage, the raw lignite will be directly or indirectly introduced through the boilers into the fire place to be treated with steam, without being cut up much further. The dried lignite is burnt with sub-stoichiometric air of n<0,8. The combustion air is introduced into the interconnected fire and radiation spaces via the nozzles provided. The boilers are set in a symmetrical arrangement to permit the regular diffusion of the temperature into the fire space; even, the symmetrical arrangement of the boilers and/or the nozzles ensures the upward regular diffusion of the temperature into the fire and radiation spaces.
