Abstract

A method for the treatment of waste water in technical installations is intended to improve the breakdown performance, the biological removal of phosphates and the nitrogen by simultaneous optimization of the energy balance and of the necessary volume of building dy increasing the efficiency of the treatment grades. The waste water is driven through a luff in at least one aerobic area and in at least one zone for oxidizing nitrogen. At least one zone of preliminary treatment, luffing or respectively compensation or a non-used area or respectively a free buffer is biologically activated. This takes place by bringing a mixture of waste water-sludge, containing nitrificant agents and oxygen, which is subjected to biological treatment preferably from the supplementary clarification area to the luffing area and especially before the preliminary clarification or respectively when no preliminary clarification takes place, before the activation of sludge.
