Combustion Methods Of Internal-Combustion Engines
(AREA)
Abstract
An internal combustion engine comprises cylinders 1 and 2 and a piston 9. At the opposite ends of each cylinder, a combustion chamber 3 provided with a spark plug 4 and a carburetor 5 is placed. The piston has an operating surface at both sides and is capable of performing free motion in the space between the chambers. In addition, an exhaust gas discharge valve of each combustion chamber is connected with a turbine through a manifold and each sparking plug and carburetor are discretely operable.
