999,637. Tipping cooking vats. L. G. EKMAN, and K. E. BERG. May 17, 1962 [May 18, 1961], No. 19139/62. Heading B8E. A cooling vat 1 adapted to be tipped by an hydraulic cylinder 6 to empty its contents over a pouring lip formed on its rim is pivotally mounted on a stand 5 at 4 on the same side of the centre of gravity of the vat as the pouring lip. The vat tips in the same direction to empty the contents into another vessel or into a waste funnel 8 mounted above the floor. The funnel 8 is connected to the main drainage system through a waste line 9-11 and may be fixed or pivotable into position in front of adjacent vats. An extension splash guard 13 may be provided and a modified closable pouring spout is described.
