Abstract

998,421. Filter presses. PROGRESS ENGINEERS Ltd. June 18, 1963 [June 27, 1962], No. 24613/62. Heading BID. A filter press tray has a surrounding frame 10 which is thicker than the main area 11 of the tray. The main area is of spherical concave form on both faces being of maximum thickness at its marginal parts and progressively tapering towards the centre. The spherical concave surfaces may extend over the whole of each face or the corners of the tray may thicken more or less steeply than within the inscribed circle shown. An all round drainage groove 14 communicates with drainage holes 15. Diagonal grooves 13 on one face are oppositely inclined to grooves on the other face. Specifications 795,167, 820,668, 842,669 and 842,795 are referred to.
