1,007,242. Embossing surfaces. H. HEYMANNS, [trading as ROB. HEYMANNS & CO. Aug. 17, 1962 [April 30, 1962], No. 31612/62. Heading B6C. In a pair of male and female embossing dies for the production of double-sided embossing on board or paper &c. at least part of the non- design areas of at least one of the dies is recessed so that there is no contact between the non- design areas of the dies when the working surfaces of the two dies are pressed tightly into contact with each other. As shown, the non- design areas 5 of the male die 2 are recessed except for a marginal zone 6 surrounding the design areas 4.
