981,667. Embossing. BOWATER RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd. Aug. 23, 1963, No. 33460/63. Heading B6J. [Also in Division B8] A tray pressed from a blank of fibrous sheet material has a crimped curved zone 3 whose outer peripheral edge is subjected to greater pressure than that applied to the remainder of the blank during formation. The blank is pressed between male and female dies with reduced clearance in the peripheral area which may be in the form of a lip 5. The Specification suggests suitable paperboard for the tray.
