996,260. Waterstops, e.g. for concrete structures. SERVICISED PRODUCTS CORPORATION. Aug. 1, 1962 [May 25, 1961], No. 18885/61. Heading E1V. A connector for joining the end portion of a waterstop 2 of a first flexible material to the end portion of a waterstop 3 of a second and different flexible material comprises a strip 1 of said second material having one end portion bonded into an end portion of an embracing member 5 formed of the first material or of a material that can be bonded easily or with good bond strength to the first material, the other end portion of the member 5 being shaped to receive the end portion of the waterstop 2. The member 5 may be in natural or synthetic rubber or a mixture thereof and the strip 1 in synthetic plastic material such as polyvinyl chloride, the adhesive therebetween being e.g. based upon reclaimed rubber or a mixture of synthetic and natural rubbers. The member 5 may be one form of rubber and the waterstop 2 in another form. The waterstop 3 is bonded to the strip 1, e.g. by welding. Specification 776,713 is referred to.
