996,000. Tractor-trailer hitches; tractor hoods. MASSEY-FERGUSON-PERKINS Ltd. Oct. 9, 1961 [Aug. 26, 1960], No. 29509/60. Headings B7B and B7T. A tractor cab frame comprises members 10, 11 joined by transverse members 12, 13, 15, members 16, 17 joined by member 18, and struts 22 connected to the rear axle and to stiffeners 21 fixed to 10 and 11. Brackets 26 and 28 provided with holes 27, 29, and a bottom bearing 30, engage respectively plates 44, 47 provided with locating pins 45, 48, and the end 72 of a shaft 40, which shaft has bearings 41, 42 and is held in the vertical position shown in Fig. 3 to provide support for an agricultural implement such as a hedge cutter which is pivotally connected to a bracket 55 welded to the shaft. Clevis brackets 34, 35 on the member 15 support an hydraulic jack (not shown) which may swing the shaft 40 by engaging a rotatably adjustable arm 52 bolted to a flange 51 on the shaft. The swing of the shaft is limited by engagement of the head of a rotatably adjustable arm 60 with rubber pads 65, 67 mounted on a bar 62 which passes through a hole 61 in the head and is pivoted to a clevis 36. The shaft 40 may be mounted on one or the other side of the tractor.
