[Also in Division B7] In a trolley comprising a chassis 1 provided with raisable and lowerable wheels 4, 5 and with a mast 10 guiding a vertically movable platform 9, the wheels may be lowered to raise the chassis from the ground by the platform 9 as it reaches the bottom of the mast 10. As shown, Fig. 1, brackets 3, supporting wheels 4 and pivoted to the chassis at 2, are connected by a link 25 to a lever 24, which is pivoted to the chassis, and a bracket 6 supporting a steering wheel 6 is vertically movable on the chassis and is connected to the lever 24 by pivoted links 28, 26. As the platform 9 is lowered, a member 22 thereon engages a roller 23 on the lever 24 and pivots the lever in an anticlockwise direction, thereby lowering the wheels 4, 5. The roller 23 may be moved out of the path of the member 22. A catch 32 is pivoted on the chassis so that the lever 24 may be locked in its lowered position. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the lever 24 is adjustably connected to the links 25, 26 whereby the amount by which the wheels 4, 5 are lowered when the platform 9 is lowered may be varied. In a further modification, Fig. 4, a strut 42 provided with a pivoted ground-engaging shoe 44 is pivoted to the lever 41 and rests against studs 45 when the wheels are raised so that, as the platform 9 pivots the lever 41, the strut 42 pushes the trolley along. The wheels 4, 5 may, alternatively, be lowered by hydraulic means controlled by the platform 9 through a lever or plunger. Catch gear.-A lever 15, Fig. 1, provided with brake shoes 14 adapted to engage the mast 10 and with a slot 16 engaging a pin on a post 12 on the platform 9 is connected by a link 17 to a member 18 which is pivoted to a second post 12 and which supports a pulley 20 for the platform-raising cable 21.
