Abstract

Hydroperoxides of polymers of 4-methylpentene-1 are produced by reacting the polymer of molecular weight from 400 to 1000, with an oxygen-containing gas (e.g. air and/or oxygen). In examples, the reaction is effected with cumene as solvent and cobalt naphthenate as catalyst. Specifications 807,204 and 973,907 are referred to.
