A collapsible pile casing comprises tubular sections 12, 14 and 16 telescopically arranged for sliding movement relative to each other. As shown, sections 12 and 14 have upper outwardly directed flanges 20 and 26 and lower inwardly directed flanges 22 and 28 respectively. Lowermost section 16 has an upper outwardly directed flange 30, its lower end however, being welded to driving point 32. For transportation, the sections are telescoped one within the other (Figs. 1 and 3 not shown). The flanges may be formed with mating protrusions and recess in order to form better seals (Figs. 8, 9 and 10 not shown).
