[Also in Division H2] A drop wire is attached to a support by a helically shaped wire grip with which it is intertwined. As shown in Fig. 3 a twisted pair drop wire 6 isgripped firmly by-helix 1 constituting the grip. The helix is so wound that its internal diameter is substantially zero. A supporting loop 4 is formed by intertwining a shorter twisted portion 3 with the wire grip 1. The grip is made of steel coated with polyethylene and the loop is reinforced with copper braiding 5.
