The rake-wheel type of haymaking machine described in Specification 914,096 and as shown in Fig. 1 is characterized in that it can be adapted to be pushed by a tractor by attaching the draw-bar 64 to the rearward end of the frame member 5, extending it by an auxiliary beam 97 arranged for connection to the tow bar 68 of the tractor and by providing an additional coupling bar 81 for pivotal attachment by a member 87 to the front of the tractor. The draw-bar 64 and beam 97 are telescopically adjustable whereby the machine can be turned about pivot 109 at the front of the tractor. The lever 46 which operates to lift the rake wheels is connected to a cord 47 operable from the tractor. In the case when the implement is front mounted the cord passes over a pulley 115. The coupling bar 81 forms the web of a U-shaped member fastened between the two frame members 5, 6 of the machine which is thus pushed by the tractor at a point which is lower than the frame members. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 9 the implement comprises two vertically spaced frame members 121, 122 and the coupling to the front of the tractor is formed by a bent member 152 pivoted to the frame member 121. When not coupled to the tractor this front coupling can be turned about its pivots 151 on the frame and can be held in position by a locking pin 161 passing through an apertured arm 162 on the frame. The frame of the machine is completed by two members 132, 133 extending over the rake wheels and being supported at their ends by a castor wheel 137. A coupling member 138 is used when the machine is trailed by the tractor.
