990,916. Haymaking machines. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Sept. 6, 1961 [Sept. 6, 1960], No. 32021/61. Heading A1F. A tractor-drawn rake-wheel type of sidedelivery rake is provided with two swivelwheels 5, 7, arranged one behind the other and coupled together for conjoint swivelling movement, and a hitch-point 91 for the towing tractor 12 is provided at a substantial lateral distance from the two wheels, one of which, 7, is a caster. The frame consists of a main beam 1, carrying rake-wheels 18, via pivoted cranks, and two arched beams 2, 3, interconnected at the front by the vertical bearing-sleeve for the caster-wheel 7. The sleeve may carry detachably a drawbar 10 for the tractor 12. A rod 15 connects arms 16, 17 on the vertical axles 8, 4 of the wheels 7, 5, so that swinging movement of the drawbar 10 moves them in opposite directions. A single, lockable, swivel-wheel 6 supports the remainder of the frame. For raking a field, the tractor is connected to the point 9 to rake the edges of the field. The hitch is then moved to the bracket 9<SP>1</SP> and the remainder of the field is raked. The bracket 9<SP>1</SP> is pivoted at 13 to the beam 1 and can be adjusted angularly.
