Abstract
990,666. Valves. JUNKERS & CO. G.m.b.H. Oct. 7, 1963 [Oct. 18, 1962], No. 39361/63. Heading F2V. A thermostatically controlled valve for opening or shutting off the supply to a gasheated apparatus has a plate 32 actuated by the thermostat 11 and co-operating with a spring 15 abutting a support 16, the spring having a lever extension 15<SP>1</SP> which acts on a valve member 21 loaded by a closure spring 23 and a depression 30 which faces the support 16 and is eccentric to a hole 31 in the spring. The element 11 is connected by a conduit 12 to a heat-sensitive element and is connected to the plate 32 by a pin 13 so that expansion of the element causes the plate 32 to tilt and the spring 15 to snap into the position in which the valve member 21 is closed by its spring. A stiffening rib 36 is provided on the spring 15.
