Abstract

990,590. Trawl boards. M. COOPMAN. Oct. 28, 1963 [Nov. 8, 1962], No. 42309/62. Heading A1A. A trawl board comprises a curved steel plate 10 of greater height than length having a buoyancy chamber 11 at the top thereof and a heavy plate 12 at the base, a strut 16 having apertures 17 for attachment of a towing cable and being welded to the underside of the chamber 11, to the heavy plate 12, to the plate 10 and to a heavy bar 13, and two brackets 14, 15 on the plate 10 and having apertures for attachment of a trawl net. A board lifting eye is fixed to the plate 10. Additional weights may be bolted to the plate 12 to adjust the trim of the board.
