Abstract

990,217. Bearings. DURKOPPWERKE A.G. July 22, 1963 [July 21, 1962], No. 28889/63. Heading F2A. [Also in Division B3] A cage for an axial thrust bearing is made in one piece from sheet metal and is in the form of a flat hollow ring provided with apertures into which the rollers are sprung. The ring has folded over edges 6, 7 with projecting coplaner lugs 4, 5 on one side and connecting pieces 3 on the other. The connecting pieces 3 are bent outwardly to such an extent that the width of the cage is slightly less than the diameter of the rollers 2. The apertures 1 in the cage have a narrower central portion y to retain the rollers 2 in position.
