Abstract

988,838. Valves; pipe joints. J. B. RATELBAND. Aug. 7, 1963 [Sept. 3, 1962], No. 31142/63. Headings F2G and F2V. A check valve comprises a two-part easing 1 and 2 and a core body 3 to define a flow passage therebetween. A flexible sleeve-like diaphragm 5 surrounds the body 3 and is clamped by a collar 6 between the parts 1 and 2. The body 3 is clamped between the parts 1 and 2 by a collar 4. The parts 1 and 2 have sealing faces 10 which abut pipe flanges 9 and bolts 7 extend through recesses 8 on the outer face of the casing to secure the valve together.
