Abstract

988,157. Gravity - separation apparatus. MASCHINEFABRIEK BRAAT N.V. May 1, 1962, No. 16574/62. Heading BID. Sedimentation of solids is conducted under pressure, for example in a closed tank 1, to the contents of which pressure is applied by providing a standpipe 7 for withdrawal of the pure liquid. Preferably the pipe 7 has a height of at least 3 metres. For sedimented matter an outlet 4 with a valve 5 is provided.
