Abstract

988,125. Photographic developers. AGFA A. G. Sept. 13,1963 [Sept. 15, 1962],No. 36201/63. Heading G2C. A black-and-white reversal developer composition with a pH between 8. 5 to 11.5 comprises 2 to 10 grams per litre of an o-phenylene diamine and 2 to 10 grams per litre of a 3-pyrazolidone. Specified pyrazolidones are those substituted in the 1,4 and 5 positions by alkyl groups with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl groups which may contain alkyl, amino or alkoxy groups. This developer may be used to produce both colour and black-andwhite reversal images.
