A transparency mount has a marker tab adapted to be interted into a pocket-like recess therein so as to be visible through a window, the tab being secured in place by a locking tooth. In the form shown, the mount comprises a front section 1 and a back section 8, fixed together by any convenient means. A window 2 is provided for viewing the transparency, and a smaller window 3 is provided at the edge of the mount for the tab. The tab is inserted into a pocket 10 behind this window, through an opening 11. After insertion, the tap lodges behind a locking tooth 12, and cannot be removed again without a supplementary aid. The tab may have index marks at its ends, holes 15, 16 being provided in the front 1 of the mount to observe these. The tabs may carry information, and also indicate the image position. For convenience, a number of tabs can be provided together in the form of a printed strip (Fig. 7), with convenient means such as perforations for detaching them singly as required. The strip of tabs can be formed to have a spade-shaped end 13, which can be conveniently used as a tool for insertion into the opening 11 to release the tab from engagement with tooth 12 and so extract it. The strip of tabs can have coloured zones 18,19 along each edge. The tabs can then be cut away as in 26,27, or 28, so that they always have the same overall length, but may have a coloured mark at one end (as in 28) or the other end (27) or both ends (26), thus providing a coding system.
