Abstract
985,081. Continuous envelope assemblies. GLOBE ENVELOPES Ltd. Feb. 26, 1964 [June 20, 1963], No. 8007/64. Heading B6A. A continuous envelope assembly comprises a carrier web 1, Fig. 1, having a plurality of envelopes 3 mounted thereon which have their sealing flaps 5 extended with the adhesive 11 carrying face thereof facing the web and each of the envelopes is adhesively secured to to the web at at least two areas one of said areas 13, Fig. 2, being within the sealing flap are defined by the adhesive 11 and the other area 14 being within a body portion 10, which will be covered by the sealing flap. The envelopes 3 may be separated from the web by passing the latter in the reverse direction over an upper feed platform 18 and pulling the web through a slot 21 of a sloping wall 20 whereby the envelopes 3 will be deposited in a lower envelope receiving platform 19.
