Abstract

1,152,048. Envelopes. KENRICK & JEFFERSON Ltd. 9 Dec., 1966 [24 Dec., 1965], No. 54862/65. Heading B6A. The envelope intended for re-use has its flap 10 and a corresponding portion of the rear wall 12 of the envelope provided with latex type pressure-sensitive adhesive areas 13, 14, respectively, and the flap 10 is provided with a triangular portion 15 which is free of adhesive to serve as a grip. The latex type adhesive forms a stronger bond with the material of the envelope than between the interface of the superposed adhesive areas so that the bond is not destroyed. One or more adhesive free tabs 16 may be provided. In another embodiment (Fig. 2) a central area 24 free of adhesive may be provided in the respective adhesive areas 21, 22 or the central area may have a semicircular configuration to serve as a finger grip.
