Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0984977/C2/1> (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are identical or differen alkyl radicals each containing not more than five carbon atoms, and R4 is an alkyl, alkenyl, dialkylaminoalkyl, phenylalkyl or phenylalkenyl radical, the benzene ring of each of the latter two radicals being optionally substituted by up to three substituents selected from alkyl groups, alkoxy groups, a methylenedioxy radical and/or halogen atoms, and each of the aliphatic chains of R4 containing not more than four carbon atoms), their preparation by reacting a compound of the general formula <FORM:0984977/C2/2> with diketene and cyclizing the product, and pharmaceutical preparations (e.g. tablets, dragees, capsules, syrups, suspensions and suppositories for oral or rectal administration) containing them together with a carrier. The compounds have analgesic, antipyretic, antiphlogistic and antitussive activity.
