Abstract

984,537. Endless conveyers. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. Jan. 26, 1962, No. 3105/62. Heading B8A. Data carriers 3 carried respectively on each of the load carriers (not shown) of an endless conveyer are read by a device 4 at each discharge station. When a binary number carried by a carrier 3 agrees with the number corresponding to a station at which the load is passing through, the load is caused to be discharged. The carriers 3 comprise flaps 1a-1f so that a six-figure binary number can be set up by suitable selective energization of magnets 2. As the carrier passes through each device 4, the deflected flaps cause respective photoelectric circuits to generate signals which are handled by gates 6-8. A mechanical device is provided (Figs. 3a, 3b, not shown), to return the flaps 1a-1f to their inoperative position. A circuit using photo-transistors is described (Fig. 4, not shown). Inductive and capacitative devices may be employed in place of photo-electric devices (Fig. 5, not shown).
