983,787. Closet seats. CARRARA & MATTA S.p.A. Dec. 9, 1963 [Dec. 14, 1962], No. 48587/63. Heading E1C. In a toilet seat made of thermoplastic material and having shock-absorbing supports 2 attached to its underneath surface and integral with it, the supports 2 are attached to the seat 1 only at their inner and outer edges, the remaining portion thereof being detached and spaced from the seat underneath surface so that they flex towards the seat 1 when load is applied thereon. The supports 2 are T-shaped, each having a web portion 2b and flange portion 2a, being thickest at their central region and gradually decreasing therefrom towards their ends which fair into the seat edges.
