Abstract

983,013. Forehead lamps. B. CHARDON. July 18, 1962 [July 27, 1961], No. 27571/62. Heading F4R. A device for use by physicians and the like comprises a headband, a support mounted on the band so as to swing about an axis perpendicular to the plane of symmetry of the user's head, a mirror pivotally mounted on the support so as to cover the upper part of the user's nose and an arm on the support to the end of which is articulated a lamp support, the lamp being so placed that the axis of the light beam reflected by the mirror approximately coincides with the visual axis. The headband 25 carries a pad 22 resting on the weaver's forehead, to which is pivoted an arm 19 having a pivot 20 at the opposite end for a two-armed lever 12, one end of which supports a concave mirror 11 and the other a carrier 15 for a lamp 16, formed by two conducting wires which also supply current to the lamp.
