Abstract

982,520. Filters. BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION. Jan. 11, 1963 [Feb.19, 1962], No. 6325/62. Heading G2J. A filter comprises a plano-convex and a plano-concave lens of the same refractive index cemented together along their curved surfaces, the material of arc lens having a higher light absorption than the other. To correct for the vignetting effect of a lens the plano-convex lens should have the higher light absorption, and to introduce a vignetting effect the plano-concave lens has the higher absorption power.
