981,126. Installation units for washing machines. CROFTSHAW (ENGINEERS) Ltd. Sept. 18,1963 [Aug. 10, 1962], No. 30774/62. Heading D1A. An installation unit for a washing machine 1 in a launderette comprises a framework base 3 and a framework back 4, which frameworks carry water supply pipes 8, 9, electricity supply cable 11 and drain means 5, which may be a trough or a pipe. Waste water is pumped from machine through pipe 13 which branches into foam exit pipe 14, and water and foam are discharged at 15 into the trough 5. The supply pipes 8, 9 have branches 18, 19 feeding the machinge and isolated by valves 10. Machines and these units may be mounted in line with the pipes, cables and troughs aligned and connected together to a supply or drain. Two rows of machines may be mounted back to back using a common back frame.
