981,035. Drying apparatus. N. M. RIPPON. March 1, 1963 [Dec. 4, 1961], No. 43237/61. Heading F4G. [Also in Division D1] Drying apparatus in the form of a press comprises a base-plate 1 with two upstanding parallel end supports 4 between which is mounted a presser plate 7 for movement relative to the base-plate, and has electric heaters 2 in the base-plate and/or presser plate. The presser plate is held in position by latches 13 engaging in teeth 12, the latches being retractable by handles 17 for removal of the presser plate. Heaters 9 are also provided which may be placed between the articles to be pressed.
