Abstract
980,530. Moulding foamed polystyrene. MONSANTO CHEMICALS Ltd. Jan. 8, 1964 [Feb. 12, 1963], No. 5594/63. Heading B5A. In a process for the production of a foamed polystyrene article, pre-foamed polystyrene beads in a mould are subjected to the action of steam such that a steam pressure inside the mould of less than 7 pounds per square inch gauge is maintained for at least one minute, the steam pressure then being released and the article allowed to cool.
