Abstract

980,078. Tracks. HELLERMANN Ltd. April 25, 1962 [Jan. 25, 1961], No. 2916/61. Heading A6S. A mounting member for two or more elongate electrical conductors is made of deformable insulating material is of U-shaped section and comprises or receives at least one conductor such that it is at least partially exposed along its whole length adjacent an inner surface of the member and/or an upper surface of at least one of the two U arms of the member. The invention also consists of a method of making a flexible trade for electrically-operated vehicles which comprises locating two elongate electrical conductors, one adjacent the upper surface and/or inner surface of each arm of the member. The U-shaped mounting member 1 may be made of polyvinyl chloride and has two slots 4 formed to receive the stems of the conductors 2. The mounting member is formed around the conductors 2, Fig. 4, and a third conductor 11 is mounted in the member 1. The outer sides 6 of the member 1 may be grooved or serrated and inclined or flanged, the member being mounted in a base-board 8. The conductors 2, Fig. 7, may be mounted in slots in the base of the member 1.
