Abstract

978,696. Filing papers; indexing. B.M.C. GAUCHE. May 8, 1963 [May 16, 1962], No. 18264/63. Heading B6E. Suspension rods 2 of a suspension filing system are provided with detachable hooks 5 at each end, each hook having a blind bore 8 into which the corresponding end of the rod fits and an extension 11 by means of which the hook is prevented from angular movement about the rod. As shown, the extension has a depending portion 12 engaged behind a rivet 13, securing a folded-over portion 4 of a cover 1 in position. Alternatively, the extension has one or more apertures therein co-operating with press studs secured to the cover 1 and foldedover portion 4, respectively. The hooks may be moulded from synthetic plastics material and have different colours or shapes, or be fitted with fixed or removable indicators, for indexing purposes.
