Abstract

977,398. Pipe supports. A.B. ABERG May 8, 1961 [May 12, 1960], No. 16587/61. Heading F2P. [Also in Division H2] A support for holding pipes, cables or conduits in position on a concrete form 6 prior to concreting, comprises a resilient member 2 with a shaped recess 1 in which the cable seats and at least one leg 5 either side of the recess, the legs having a longitudinal bore over at least part of their length. The pipe is covered by a similar, reversed, member and fixed to the form 6 by nails 14. After the concrete 13 is set and the form 6 removed, the nails 14 are withdrawn through the resilient legs 5. The support may be manufactured from polythene and comprise a number of members 2 joined together in strip form. The spacing of the pipe from the form 6 may be varied by adding suitably bored packing pieces beneath the legs 5.
