Abstract

A device is used for protecting buried conduits which are fragile and can be deformed under pressure. The device consists of a type of lattice which surrounds or partially surrounds the conduits and pieces of this lattice work are placed at intervals along the conduit length. There is a large number of rectangular shaped conduits (2) running longitudinally and these are divided into rectangular internal channels (1), (3). The device allows some hinging action to take place between the individual conduits. The method is more satisfactory than wood and anti-corrosive beds.
