Abstract

A fibre-spinning solution comprises a polyamide derived by reacting 1:4-cyclohexane bis methylamine with adipic acid and/or sebacic acid dissolved in formic acid of at least 85% concentration. The preparation of polyamides of this type is described in Specification 922,677. Examples of the preparation of the solutions and their resultant conversion to fibres are given.
