Abstract

5,51-Dimethyl-3,31-bipyrazolyl is prepared by reacting hydrazine with 2,4,5,7-octane-tetrone. By using methyl hydrazine sulphate instead of hydrazine, 1,11,5,51-tetramethyl-3, 31-bipyrazolyl is obtained. 3,31,5,51-Tetramethyl (or tetraethyl)-4, 41-bipyrazolyl is obtained by reacting hydrazine with 3,4-diacetyl-2, 5-hexanedione or 4,5-dipropionyl-3, 6-octanedione respectively. By using methyl hydrazine sulphate in the first reaction, instead of hydrazine, 1,11,3,31,5,51-hexamethyl-4, 41-bipyrazolyl is obtained. Methylene-4, 41-bis (3, 5-dimethyl pyrazole) is prepared by reacting hydrazine with 3,5-diacetyl-2-6-heptane-dione. By using methylhydrazine sulphate instead of hydrazine, methylene-4, 41-bis (1,3,5-trimethylpyrazole) is obtained. Specifications 581,772, 702,255 and 711,488 are referred to.
