Abstract

A fibre glass reinforced plastic moulding is first grit blasted and then sprayed with a flash coating of zinc followed by coatings of aluminium or an aluminium alloy. The zinc coating has a thickness of 0.001-0.002 inch and the aluminium coating has a thickness of 0.006 inch. The spraying may be carried out using powder or wire.
