Abstract

971,929. Rectifying. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. May 3, 1963 [May 17, 1962], No. 19155/62. Heading H2F. A semiconductor bridge rectifier circuit, having a D.C. smoothing filter which tends to bias the bridge elements in their forward direction at some interval in the cycle, has a further rectifier diode connected across the D.C. side of the bridge so as to present a high impedance to the bridge and a low impedance to the voltage induced in the filter. Preferably the further diode has a low charge storage.
