Abstract

967,490. Hose connectors. HOZELOCK Ltd. May 24, 1963 [Feb. 20, 1963], No. 6877/63. Heading F2G. A tap connector includes a plastic or rubber sleeve 1 with a recessed inner wall 9 and an external clamp 7. The hose is held to the body 2 of the connector, as in Specification 714,028, by a nut 4 which can be screwed on to the body to compress an annular coiled spring 5 on to the hose. A wing nut 6 turns the worm drive which operates the clamp 7.
