Abstract

964,363. Tyre removing apparatus. ERSTE MASCHINENFABRIK KARL - MARX - STADT VEB. Jan. 16, 1962, No. 1531/62. Heading B5A. To remove tyres from a vulcanizing press, each side of a roller frame 4 is connected to the upper movable press member 7 by a suspension member 6 and an intermediate piece 5, which is constrained to move in grooves 3 in a plate 2 mounted at the side of the lower fixed press member. When the upper member 7 is raised alter vulcanization the roller frame moves from a horizontal position to the inclined position shown in the Figure, the tyre being ejected from the upper member on to the inclined frame down which it slides on to a take-off conveyer, not shown. Whilst the press is reclosed spraying nozzles 8 spray the mould halves. The upper rollers 10 are overhung as in Fig. 2 (not shown) to facilitate reloading of the press even if the frame sticks in the unloading position.
