Permanent formwork for a wall is built from units 1 and from apertured blocks, Fig. 2, both having grooves 2 in their side faces for jointing with rabbets 3 in their ends. The block may be severed into units 1 and the various multiples of this unit. The assembled formwork may be filled with various aggregates and binders.
